About Us

Two Dads. One Game. Absolutely No Idea What We Were Doing.

Fun Dad Games started the way many good ideas do...

With two dads trying to survive family life.

We're Lawrence and Dean — friends, dads, and the founders of Fun Dad Games.

Like most parents, we'd spent years hearing the same phrase over and over again:

"I'm bored."

Usually from the back seat of the car. Often less than five minutes into a journey.

We'd tried everything. Snacks. Screens. Singing. Desperate conversations about what colour cows might be if they lived on the moon.

Nothing seemed to last.

So one day we started asking a simple question:

What if there was a game you could keep in the car that was genuinely fun for both kids and parents?

Not another screen.

Not something with hundreds of tiny pieces.

Not something that took ten minutes to set up.

Just simple, instant fun.

That idea became Boredgame.

From Kitchen Table To First Product

The problem was...

Neither of us had ever designed a game before.

Or sourced a product.

Or built a website.

Or sold anything on Amazon.

So naturally, we decided to do all of those things at once.

What followed was months of late-night phone calls, hundreds of game ideas, countless revisions, and a lot of learning as we went.

Some ideas were brilliant.

Many were terrible.

A few should never see the light of day.

But eventually we created something we were genuinely proud of.

A simple card game packed with 50 screen-free activities that families could play anywhere.

Why We Do It

Fun Dad Games isn't about creating the next complicated board game.

It's about creating products that make family life a little easier.

The moments when you're stuck in traffic.

Waiting for food in a restaurant.

Sitting at an airport gate.

Travelling to football practice.

Or simply trying to get through a rainy afternoon without handing over a tablet.

Those little moments matter.

And if one of our games helps create a few more laughs, conversations and memories along the way, then we've done our job.
